Team bonding, culture building.

The Moorings Lakehouse is the perfect location to hold your next  boutique, corporate event. With up to 11 individual beds and 7  bedrooms in luxury accommodation and a further 8 beds in four glamping tents your core team will deeply bond after a long weekend at the Lakehouse.


Workshop locations with chairs can be set up in our covered outdoor "Athletic Court" or in the the "Lakeview Barn" which has a projector and large pull down screen. Break out meetings can be held on the sun deck, pagoda and jetty.


Team building activities include a private yoga class at our "Athletic Court", or on the "Sun Deck" looking out over the lake . A group sauna in our lakeside barrel sauna. Mediation on the jetty at sunrise, a bush walk in the nearby Wallingat National Park or kayak paddle on Wallis Lake.

Room Configurations

Lakeview Barn 3 bedrooms: (sleeps 6-7 people), King bed loft upstairs (can be setup as x 2 king singles on request), downstairs main bedroom 2 king single beds (can be setup as king bed on request) + one extra trundle bed setup on request , downstairs 3rd bedroom has a double bed.

Lakefront Villa 2 bedrooms (4 people only): Queen bed Lakeview bedroom, King bed in main bedroom (can be setup as 2 King singles on request.

Lakefront Suite 1 king bed + sofa bed (2-3 people): King bed can be made up as x 2 king singles on request plus sofa can be made up as a sofa bed on request and suite divided in to two with sliding wall (on request).



Luxury Glamping Tents: 4 bell tents with up to 8 beds.

 

You will have exclusive use of the 9acre property* . On request an extra bed can be setup in the suite and barn to increase numbers form 12 to 14.

 

12 person dining location options (upon request):

 

Inside option: the outdoor table at the Barn can be setup inside for 12  people with chairs.  (setup and chairs will be waiting on your arrival)

 

Outdoor Option: the covered outdoor table at the Villa, can be setup with x 12 chairs (upon request).

*Property manager resides upstairs in the Lakehouse.


Covered Pavilion: up to 36 diners .

For indoor dining a 12 seater dining table can be setup at the Lakeview barn using the barn's kitchen. For outdoor dining a 12 seater table setting can be setup outside the Lakeview Villa using the Villa's kitchen.

Larger retreats and events use the covered Pavilion for dining.

Case Study

A major Australian food wholesaler hosted their annual 3 night corporate team building retreat at The Moorings Lakehouse. It was a wonderful success with professional planning and wonderful team engagement.

Catering was supplied by our in house chef Nihls Stromland. A daily schedule was thoroughly planned with the focus being on daily workshops in our covered pavilion with tables, chairs and a white board setup. Each morning the team started the day with yoga and meditation conducted by our local yoga instructor. We hosted team sauna / ice bath / breathing sessions, after dinner fire pit socialising sessions, a kayak adventure and bush walk. Barrington Coast Sustainable Seafood festival

Saturday 11th - Sunday 12th Jan 2025

'Shuck & Shell’, Barrington Coast Sustainable Seafood Festival is an immersive agritourism experience celebrating the local seafood delicacies of the Barrington Coast area, particularly Wallis Lake oysters and Blue Swimmer Crabs.


The event, held at The Moorings Lakehouse, aims to become an iconic regional food festival, promoting tourism, supporting the local fishing industry and stimulating the local tourism economy. Through the support of key partners, sponsors, and local authorities, ‘Shuck & Shell’ is set to become an iconic annual culinary celebration. the event is centred around the culinary journey from the lake to the plate.


By offering an immersive experience, attendees will engage in activities such as shucking oysters, sustainably catching crabs, connecting with professional fishermen, experiencing seafood cooking workshops and enjoying locally sourced seafood cuisine. The event aims to fill a gap in the Mid Coast region by establishing a signature culinary event that showcases the area's seafood abundance and promotes sustainable fishing practices.
