The Moorings Lakehouse is the perfect location to host your next retreat for up to 16 guests and one facilitator. We have have 10 beds in our luxury accommodations and an additional 7 beds in x4 Luxury Lakeside glamping tents for your participants.

Our Lakefront Marquee is designed for practicing yoga, as a beautiful gymnasium or for holding workshops. Morning meditation on the jetty or sundeck is sublime. Relax in our 6 person lakefront barrel sauna and take a plunge off the jetty. The Covered Pavilion is our dining facility with arch windows providing views out to Wallis lake.

The nearby Wallingat National Park has wonderful bush walks and the lake is perfect for a paddle. Guests are welcome to collect organic salad leaves from our veggie garden and fruit from our orchards.

We can suggest excellent caterers to provide delicious, locally sourced menus at your retreat. We also have a great selection of local yoga, mediation and breathwork instructors who you can contract to work at your retreat.

If you wan to create a larger event we can provide non residential events up to 50 people.

Facilities

Lakefront barrel sauna

Turn your stay into a retreat by indulging in a daily sauna. With a gun barrel views of the wilderness sanctuary that is Wallis Lake, our sauna is stunning. Complete the experience with a plunge off our private jetty, rinse under the hot & cold outdoor shower and catch some rays on the attached sundeck.

Organic Veggie Gardens

Guests are welcome to pick their evening salad from the vegetable garden and fruit from our orchards, you might even find an egg or two in the chicken house. Permaculture principles have been used in the design of the property. The guiding principle being that all elements of the design work in synergy and energy inputs of water and nutrients are retained within the whole system. Of course no toxic pesticides are used on the property and we generate all of our own compost. All water is captured and retained onsite and solar panels are used to generate our power.

The Pavilion: Dining Space, Yoga shala / gymnasium, function space.

The 'Pavilion' is a beautiful all weather, covered 10.5m x 4.5m facility with water proof hyberbolic canopies. Gym mats, yoga mats, kettle bells and some basic cardio equipment is available for you to exercise before using the sauna or swimming off the jetty for a full retreat experience. If you book a private yoga class during your stay you can practice here, the sun deck or at your accomodation. This area is perfect for hosting function meals, wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, wellness workshops, corporate events etc

The Lakefront Marquee: Serves as a stunningly situated covered outdoor gym, yoga space, function space. 10m x 5m all weather synthetic turf floor, clear canopy walls.

Room Configurations

Lakeview Barn 3 bedrooms: (sleeps 6-7 people), King bed loft upstairs (can be setup as x 2 king singles on request), downstairs main bedroom 2 king single beds (can be setup as king bed on request) + one extra trundle bed setup on request , downstairs 3rd bedroom has a double bed.

Lakefront Villa 2 bedrooms (4 people only): Queen bed Lakeview bedroom, King bed in main bedroom (can be setup as 2 King singles on request.

Lakefront Suite 1 king bed + sofa bed (2-3 people): King bed can be made up as x 2 king singles on request plus sofa can be made up as a sofa bed on request and suite divided in to two with sliding wall (on request).

Luxury Glamping Tents: 4 bell tents with up to 7 beds.

You will have exclusive use of the 9acre property* .

Dining location options (upon request):

Inside option: The Lakeview Barn can be setup inside for 14 people with chairs. (setup and chairs will be waiting on your arrival)

Outdoor Option: the covered outdoor table at the Villa, can be setup with x 12 chairs (upon request).

*Property manager resides upstairs in the Lakehouse.

Covered Pavilion: Up to 36 diners

Cooking & Dining

The Pavilion provides a lovely covered alfresco dining location with seating for up 10-36 guests. For indoor dining a 16 seater dining table can be setup at the Lakeview barn using the barn's kitchen. Please contact our preferred caterers directly for availability, menus and pricing.
