Terms & Conditions

The Moorings Lakehouse is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. As such no parties or late night noise after 10pm is allowed without the expressed consent of the management before booking. If your intention when booking accommodation is to hold a function or gathering on the property please make this request before booking. Management reserves the right to cancel a booking if a function, party or late night noise is created without expressed pre-approval from the management and no refund will be made in this circumstance.

Non-resident guests are NOT allowed on the property without the pre-approval of management. Accommodation maximum numbers stated on the website, booking engine and external booking platforms can not be exceeded without the pre-approval of management. Exceeding these maximum numbers will result in immediate eviction without a refund.

No pets are allowed when booking the Lakefront Suite and Lakefront Villa. We do allow up to two dogs at the Lakeview Barn which has an enclosed covered dog run attached. Dogs must be kept on a leash while on the property and not cause a disturbance to other guests.

While attending the premises of The Moorings Lakehouse all guests agree to use the facilities, equipment and services on the following conditions:

1.    I acknowledge on behalf of myself and my family and/or group, that I/we have reviewed the facilities at The Moorings Lakehouse including all exercise equipment, the sauna, kayaks/canoes, the jetty and dams. I/We accept the inherent risks associated with using these items and take full responsibility for my/our actions.

2.    I understand and acknowledge that participating in activities at The Moorings Lakehouse carries with it certain risks and dangers. I also understand that some activities are physically demanding and as such I accept and assume, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all risks and dangers associated with my use of equipment, services and facilities at The Moorings Lakehouse.

3.    I agree, to the full extent permitted by law, The Moorings Lakehouse will be under no liability to myself, or any person, in respect of any loss or damage including consequential loss or damage which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly from or in connection with any use of the equipment, facilities or services at The Moorings Lakehouse for whatever reason.

4.    I agree that all person(s) who are left unattended at The Moorings Lakehouse are not the responsibility of The Moorings Lakehouse or its staff.

5.    I declare that I have read and understand this document and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

Please read our cancellation policy carefully, as it is not common for us to make an exception for it. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, we would appreciate your paying attention to the following:

• All payments through the booking engine and for individual accommodations are in full, we do not accept deposits. 
• All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
• Weddings / functions have a custom deposit procedure please email for details.. 
• Should you need to make changes to your booking and alternative dates are available the following charges will apply: 
• Postponement more than 30 days prior to arrival will incur a fee of $100 per person/per package. 
• Postponement 30 days or more prior to arrival will incur a fee of 50% of the total package. 
• Postponement 30 days or less prior to arrival, non-arrival or early departure will incur a fee of 100% of the total package. 
• If changes are made after booking to dates with higher rates all differences will be payable by the guest. 
• We highly recommend taking out travel insurance.

Sauna Rules

• Children under the age of 18yo can only use the sauna unaccompanied by an adult.
• Children under the age of 12 yo are not permitted to use the sauna.
• The sauna can only be used for periods of 20min and should no be left on for more than 1hr 
• The timer should be set to off when vacating the sauna.
• Management at its discretion may limit sauna use times due to the property's electrical capacity to:
•  a/. from sunrise to 2 hrs after sunrise. b/. 1hr before sunset to 1 hr after sunset.
• a towel must be used under each sauna user.
• each sauna user must shower before using the sauna.
